Introduced with the slogan “Move Like Milan”, the kit reflects the dynamic, fast-paced lifestyle of the city’s residents. The Rossoneri club aims to go beyond football, showcasing the passion and elegance with which life is lived in this northern Italian metropolis – a place that can win anyone’s heart.
Design: Red and Black Stripes with a Modern Twist
The new design retains AC Milan’s traditional red and black stripes, but this season they vary in width and are arranged in a more symmetrical pattern. The concept highlights the city’s creative balance, where tradition and modernity coexist.
A Kit for Both Men’s and Women’s First Teams
According to AC Milan’s chief revenue officer, Casper Stylsvig: “The club is proud to unveil, for the first time, a kit that will be worn by both the men’s and women’s first teams.” The PUMA jersey aims to capture the true essence of Milan: a unique blend of football, fashion and culture that sets both the city and the club apart.
Collaboration with Milanese Fashion and Design Universities
To finalise the design, the “Move Like Milan” initiative – a partnership between PUMA and AC Milan – enlisted the support of three fashion and design universities in Milan. Joint workshops and masterclasses were held to bring the concept to life.
Sustainability and Performance Technology
The 2021/22 AC Milan home jersey is made from 100% recycled polyester. It features PUMA’s dryCELL thermoregulation technology, which ensures an optimal fit and excellent freedom of movement while keeping the player dry and comfortable. An ultra-lightweight jacquard weave on the back enhances breathability.
