adidas and EA Anthem Custom Player Boots: Premier League Stars Wear Unique Javelin-Inspired Designs

Four top Premier League players debuted custom football boots created in collaboration between adidas and Electronic Arts (EA) to promote the new game Anthem. The boots were designed by French boot designer Pierre Navarro, known as Orravan Design, and each pair reflects a specific Javelin suit from the game along with the player’s own style of play.

Storm | Jesse Lingard – adidas Nemeziz 19.1

A specialist in inflicting damage from distance.

“I love that these boots are completely unique to me. I’m into my fashion so to have bespoke boots is pretty special. I can’t wait to get out on the pitch to see whether I can deliver some damage from long-range like the Storm.”

Interceptor | Felipe Anderson – adidas Predator 19+

The most agile, equipped with lightning-fast speed.

“I always try to play with speed and agility, so the Interceptor definitely suits me and my style. I love the bright green of the design. Hopefully it will dazzle my opponents when I’m running at them with the ball.”

Ranger | Erik Lamela – adidas Copa 19.1

An all-rounder that has strong defence and attack.

“This is the first time I have ever worn customised boots like this. I’m a big fan of gaming, as are many of my teammates, so to be part of launching a brand new game is really exciting. I can’t wait to unleash some firepower on the pitch and online in Anthem!”

Colossus | Kasper Schmeichel – adidas Copa 19.1

Large and most powerful, commanding the combat area.

“Power and strength are key to any goalkeeper’s game so Colossus is a great fit for me. I always have loved bright boots as I feel they make me look bigger and more imposing in goal.”

Designer Behind the Boots

Pierre Navarro, who created the four Anthem Javelin boots from his studio in La Rochelle, France, previously designed pairs for Antoine Griezmann, Romelu Lukaku, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Didier Drogba, and many other stars.

“It has been a wonderful experience to be able to draw inspiration from the colors and beautiful world of Anthem and the special powers of the Javelin suits. I hope the boots can help give the players superhuman powers on the pitch.”

Match Debuts

The boots were worn during Premier League games on Saturday, March 9th. Erik Lamela wore his pair against Southampton, Kasper Schmeichel against Fulham, and Felipe Anderson against Cardiff City. Jesse Lingard will wear his pair when he returns from injury.
