The boot features Fusion Skin leather, a material commonly found in the adidas Copa 20+ football boot. This makes the Predator Dragon more adaptable and malleable to the foot compared to the standard Primeknit used in the Mutator Pack. The DemonSkin concept returns with 406 rubber studs protruding from the upper. These studs cover the main ball-contact areas—inner instep, toe, and front outer side—using different sizes and thicknesses depending on their location.
Performance and Spin Enhancement
A scientific study demonstrates the effectiveness of the DemonSkin studs, showing they increase spin effect by 10%. The collar has been redesigned with an exclusive dragon-scale Primeknit pattern, adding to the boot’s unique aesthetic.
Outsole and Stud Configuration
The boot uses a two-piece modular outsole, separating the forefoot from the heel to lighten the CONTROLFRAME plate. The studs are more rounded than the previous generation, similar to those found in the adidas Nemeziz football boot range. The collection comes in a box designed to resemble a dragon’s egg, featuring a triangular pattern. Inside, two elastic bands hold the boots in place on either side, nodding to the original elastic used on the tongues of historic Predator boots.
