The Albanian Football Association (FSHF) and Macron have revealed the new Albania national team kits for the 2026/27 cycle. The three-shirt collection will make its on-pitch debut during the play-offs for qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals, first worn when Albania face Poland in Warsaw on Thursday 26 March.
The set balances modern design with national identity, using subtle detailing and restrained ambition rather than bold reinvention.
Home Kit: Tone-on-Tone Eagle Detail
The home shirt remains based on Albania’s iconic red, a fundamental part of the national identity. Macron has added tone-on-tone wavy lines that create depth across the fabric, with the pattern shaping into a double-headed eagle on the right side. The design reveals itself gradually rather than shouting for attention. Black cuffs, an embroidered “SHQIPËRI” across the backneck, and the repeated phrase “Ti Shqipëri, më jep nder” hidden inside the hem serve as subtle affirmations of identity.

Away Kit: Off-White Pallette with Red Accents
The away shirt adopts an off-white base, offering a composed contrast to the home kit’s heat. Red accents frame the design, keeping it connected to the federation’s visual DNA. The look is clean and familiar but with a softer feel appropriate for an alternative strip.

Third Kit: Black with Debossed Lily Motif
The third shirt uses an all-black base that makes a statement from a distance. On closer inspection, a debossed lily pattern becomes visible and tactile, adding a new dimension to the set. The motif draws from the decoration on Skanderbeg’s helmet, linking the design to heritage without becoming costume-like. Thin red trim on the cuffs ties it to the rest of the collection.

Design Approach: Ambition Applied with Restraint
The set is considered and cohesive. Macron has used techniques such as sublimation and debossing, but with restraint. The shirts feel naturally Albanian, allowing players to wear them without the federation’s story feeling rewritten for the sake of novelty.

When Albania step out in Warsaw on 26 March, these kits will get their first real outing under pressure. They carry their identity with quiet confidence, suited to the team and the nation behind it.
