The BSTN x adidas Handball Spezial draws on deep-rooted football culture, updated with a soft premium leather upper and bespoke curved overlays—a first for this silhouette. Two colourways are available: all-black and off-white. Minimalist palettes keep the design clean, with the only pop of colour coming from refined blue detailing on the woven tongue label and custom shoebox, inspired by the deep Mediterranean waters.

Shot at Turin’s Villa Sassi, the campaign leans into its Mediterranean roots, with Del Piero front and centre. A tongue-in-cheek short film accompanies the drop—a spiritual sequel to the debut ‘O.G. with a Twist’ release that paired David Alaba with an adidas Samba. Where Alaba brought Austrian flair, Del Piero brings Italian cool, bridging football and basketball (his off-pitch passion) in one seamless narrative.

BSTN’s collaboration is known for thoughtful touches. The Handball Spezial includes a comic-style insole graphic created by BSTN’s long-time friend Theodoros Giannitsacis, showing a dapper gentleman spinning a basketball—a literal take on the series’ name. Additional features include a gum sole, nubuck mudguard, T-toe overlays, an embossed Trefoil on the heel tab, and lateral golden foil BSTN branding. Each pair comes with two sets of premium laces: branded tips and gold aglets for the off-white pair; black and off-white branded for the black edition.
