The bond between football and fashion continues to strengthen, with clubs and lifestyle brands increasingly joining forces. Arsenal, adidas, and luxury streetwear label 424 have teamed up for a unique collection that blends sportswear with contemporary art. The project was spearheaded by 424 founder Guillermo Andrade and Arsenal player Héctor Bellerín.
Background of the Collaboration
Arsenal and adidas are well‑established names in both football and fashion. Over the past year, both brands have released exclusive collections and accessories — including the Pastel Pack and a collaboration with Pharrell Williams and Human Race — expanding their reach into new creative territories.
424, founded in 2015 by Guillermo Andrade, is a men’s fashion label specialising in luxury streetwear. The brand draws inspiration from contemporary art, with many designs hand‑drawn by Andrade himself. The partnership with Arsenal and adidas has been in development for several years, with Andrade and Bellerín playing key roles.
The Creative Process
Much of the behind‑the‑scenes story is captured in a short documentary that explains how the project’s key figures met, how the idea originated, and how it ultimately materialised. A central focus was fusing streetwear with sportswear, prioritising comfort and ease of wear without sacrificing elegance or artistic flair. This approach guided Andrade and Bellerín in designing the accessories, which were released in very limited quantities on 16 March 2021.
The Collection
The collaboration includes a full match kit comprising a jersey, shorts, and socks. It also features everyday wear such as hoodies, flip‑flops, jackets, and caps. Sneaker fans can purchase a pair of adidas Ultraboost 21 shoes with 424’s signature styling.
The design and colour scheme remain consistent throughout: deep black contrasted with a vibrant red, reflecting 424’s visual identity.
