Arsenal and adidas Unveil 2025/26 Away Kit Inspired by 1995/96 Classic

Arsenal and adidas have revived a cult-classic design for the 2025/26 season, releasing an away kit that draws direct inspiration from the iconic 1995/96 shirt. The new strip features a bold lightning bolt pattern on a deep navy base, blending retro energy with modern aesthetics.

Design Inspiration

The 2025/26 away shirt pays homage to the 1995/96 kit famously worn by Arsenal legends such as Ian Wright. The core design centers on a vibrant royal blue lightning bolt pattern across the fabric, reinterpreted with sharper edges and cleaner lines to suit the contemporary game.

Striking red adidas stripes run across the shoulders, contrasting with the cool navy palette. Light silver logos add a metallic finish that merges futuristic and throwback elements.

Debut Date

The kit is set to debut on 23 July when Arsenal’s men’s team faces AC Milan in Singapore.

Historical Context

This is not the first time adidas has revisited the 1995/96 archives. The brand previously used the lightning bolt motif for the 2021/22 third shirt. The 2025/26 edition goes further into a full rework, offering a design that celebrates history while remaining firmly rooted in the present.
