Concave HALO 2019: Redesigned with Accustrike Technology for Enhanced Accuracy

Concave has launched the HALO 2019, a comfort-focused football boot that marks a significant shift in the brand’s design direction. The most notable change is the removal of the large Concave element previously placed across the laces, replaced by a new system called ACCUSTRIKE.

Key Innovation: ACCUSTRIKE Railing System

The ACCUSTRIKE Railing System (ARS) consists of raised rails positioned on the outer sides of the laces. This technology is designed to widen the sweet spot and boost shooting accuracy by guiding the ball as the player strikes it.

Design and Colorway

The first release in the series adopts a classic black upper with red detailing. The visual approach is deliberately minimal, keeping the focus on performance rather than appearance.

Two Upper Options

The HALO 2019 is available in a K-leather version and Concave’s own Maze Synthetic upper. Maze Synthetic is constructed by fusing mesh with a texturized synthetic material. This synthetic version also includes raised textured grip strips across the forefoot, intended to improve touch and ball control. A K-leather variant is also offered.

Performance Verdict

Compared to earlier Concave releases, the HALO 2019 delivers a clear upgrade. The Accustrike rails are less obtrusive and do not affect the boot’s rigidity across the lacing. Their role is to cup the edges of the ball on firm shots through the strike zone. After multiple sessions in the boots, the performance improvement over the HALO series is evident, offering players a noticeably different feel.
