This week’s boot spotting highlights four top stars who have been seen in new or updated silos from Nike, Puma and adidas. Cristiano Ronaldo debuted the Nike Mercurial Dragonfly, Antoine Griezmann stepped out in the Puma Ultra Game On Pack, Paul Pogba switched back to his previous adidas Predator, and Marco Reus stuck with his laceless Puma Future boots.
Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus) – Nike Mercurial Dragonfly
The Juventus forward was one of the first professionals to be spotted training and playing in the new Nike Mercurial Dragonfly. He wore them during a Serie A match against Bologna, finishing the game in the latest version of his Nike Mercurial MDS boots.
Ronaldo’s boots were part of a major launch week for the American brand’s most powerful weapon. The Portuguese star also appeared in an official match with the Dragonfly colourway.

Antoine Griezmann (FC Barcelona) – Puma Ultra Game On Pack
The French striker, an ambassador for Puma’s speed boot range, was one of the first to wear the new Puma Ultra in the Game On Pack. He debuted the boots in training and later in a LaLiga match against Elche CF.
Griezmann effectively serves as the face of this range. His boots are identical to the launch model and feature the best colourway of these boots to date. The new Puma Ultra football boots are described as much more aggressive.

Paul Pogba (Manchester United) – adidas Predator 20+ Precision to Blur Pack
The Manchester United midfielder was seen in the new adidas Predator Freak+ boots in the match prior to this weekend. However, for the FA Cup match against Liverpool, he opted again for the previous version of the Predator.
Pogba’s choice raises questions: is there a problem with the new boot, or is the Frenchman unconvinced by how the new Demonskin has been applied? Despite the launch of the adidas Superlative Pack, many of the brand’s players have yet to debut these new boots on the pitch.
