KidSuper and PUMA Unveil Artistic Club World Cup Collection for Football’s Global Stage

In a vibrant fusion of sport and visual art, PUMA and KidSuper have released a new capsule collection for teams competing in the FIFA Club World Cup. The collaboration, which began in 2020, continues to push the boundaries between football kit design and creative expression. Following Colm Dillane’s experimental work with Barnsley in 2023, this latest project brings hand-drawn graphics, watercolour palettes, and club-inspired motifs to seven participating sides. Alongside a dedicated boot line, the collection offers bespoke kits for Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Palmeiras, Monterrey, Al Hilal, RB Salzburg, and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Each team’s set includes a KIDSUPER Retro Shirt, Graphic Tee, Short, Pant, and Reversible Jacket.

KidSuper founder Colm Dillane said: “I’ve always wanted to merge the worlds of art and football, and with PUMA, we’re doing just that. This collection is about more than just the game. It’s about expressing yourself, taking risks, and standing out. Whether on the pitch or off, football is an art form, and this collection shows that.”

Manchester City

The Manchester City kit revisits the classic sash design, now using KidSuper’s watercolour palette and hand-painted touches. It captures the spirit of Manchester and the energy of the Poznań celebration. The outfield jersey features an all-over Poznań repeated graphic, hand-drawn in collaboration with the New York-based designer. A fresh white base is contrasted by a black and red diagonal sash, a look beloved since the away kits of the 1970s worn by players like Colin Bell. A special goalkeeper kit appears in a neon sun colourway with a black and yellow sash and the same Poznań pattern.

Borussia Dortmund

Two worlds combine in this collaboration: Borussia Dortmund’s football tradition and KidSuper’s artistic approach. The kit brings together a passionate fanbase and a modern interpretation of football’s link with pop culture. The classic black-and-yellow palette, familiar across Europe, is enriched with hand-drawn graphics that create an energetic look. The goalkeeper jersey features a pink colourway with yellow accents, and a honeycomb-inspired geometric pattern of painted hexagonal cells covers the shoulders.

Palmeiras

Founded in 1914 by Italian immigrants in São Paulo, Palmeiras has long embodied a mix of Italian and Brazilian culture. With this kit, KidSuper honours the club’s status as the first Club World Champion in 1951. The baroque-inspired home jersey features a leaf motif on a golden base, referencing the Copa Rio triumph. The goalkeeper jersey keeps the same design but uses glowing red, dark crimson, and gold.

RB Salzburg

Alpine scenery meets a New York edge in the RB Salzburg kit. The home jersey reimagines the Edelweiss flower with sweeping strokes of ivory, lemon, and baby blue. The goalkeeper version uses an ultra-blue base with scotch blue and lemon details.

Mamelodi Sundowns

The Mamelodi Sundowns home kit draws from the evening sky of Tshwane, blending warm sunlight tones with cooler shades. The result reflects the rhythm, energy, and joy of Sundowns’ style, locally known as “shoeshine and piano.” The home jersey has a yellow base with mountain blue, green, and white details. The goalkeeper jersey opts for a purple base with yellow and mountain blue accents.

Al Hilal

The Al Hilal home kit takes inspiration from the club’s name, which means “crescent moon” in Arabic. KidSuper brings that symbol to life through tonal blues and a glowing lunar graphic, reflecting the quiet confidence of a team known across Asia as “The Boss.” The design speaks to dreamers, lit by the night sky, charting a path from Saudi Arabia to San Francisco. The goalkeeper jersey switches to an alpine snow base with blue and navy details.

Monterrey

Monterrey’s kit is bold, using geometric patterns that celebrate the club’s rich history while embracing a modern feel, bringing the spirit of northern Mexico to the international stage. The white base features hand-painted mountain regions with navy accents, creating a vibrant artistic piece. The goalkeeper jersey takes a pink base and integrates white and navy detailing to stand out.
