LEGO and FIFA Unveil Official World Cup Trophy Set with Football Legends

The LEGO Group has partnered with FIFA ahead of the 2026 World Cup to introduce the LEGO Editions FIFA World Cup Official Trophy. The first-ever officially licensed 1:1 LEGO replica of world football’s ultimate prize launches in March 2026, built from 2,842 pieces and designed as a centrepiece for fans as the tournament approaches.

The set recreates the FIFA World Cup trophy at full scale. A hidden scene sits inside the upper globe, revealed via a pullable slip, featuring the 2026 World Cup logo and an exclusive branded minifigure holding a miniature trophy. Beneath the base, a printed plaque lists every World Cup winner since 1974, grounding the set in football history.

Two different finishes — drum-lacquered bricks and moulded gold pieces — combine to give the trophy its unmistakable sheen. It is also the first LEGO set ever to use this volume of gold-coloured elements, underscoring the set’s special status.

Legends Reunite for the Reveal

Five World Cup winners — Roberto Carlos, Cafu, Iker Casillas, Sami Khedira and Marco Materazzi — came together for a behind-the-scenes look at the LEGO trophy set. In the video, their reactions include laughter, disbelief and a glint of nostalgia as they recall the feeling of lifting the real trophy.
