LEGO has announced a new collection of sets celebrating four of football’s biggest stars: Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Jr. Launching ahead of the 2026 World Cup, the LEGO Editions range transforms each player into minifigure form for the first time, with sets designed to reflect their personal journeys and on-pitch personalities.
LEGO Editions: Football Icons as Buildable Collectibles
The four-player lineup follows LEGO’s previous World Cup trophy set and the 1,498-piece display ball that contains a mini stadium. Each new set includes hidden Easter eggs for fans to discover.

“It’s not every day you get to be transformed into a LEGO set,” Cristiano Ronaldo explained. “I’m incredibly honoured to be part of this new lineup of LEGO Editions, alongside three other incredible players in the sport. I’m looking forward to seeing fans from all over the world discover my story and sporting heritage by building this LEGO set, blending football and creativity.”
Football Highlights Sets
The “Football Highlights” sets capture a cinematic snapshot of each player. They are built on letter-shaped bases (the first letter of the respective player) and feature colour cues from each player’s national team, jersey numbers, a collectible plaque, and a LEGO minifigure of the player.
Football Legend Sets: Ronaldo and Messi
Two “Football Legend” sets offer display-scale figures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Although aimed at builders aged 10+, these sets provide two different ways to build each icon, enhancing the building experience.
The 854-piece CR7 model can be built with Ronaldo in his explosive “Siuuu” pose or performing his iconic bicycle kick. The set includes a larger CR7 backdrop, a printed plaque, a new co-moulded face, and a new football ball element.
The Messi model contains 958 LEGO elements and can be built in two ways: one shows Messi in his signature victory pose pointing towards the sky after scoring a goal; the other recreates him in a dynamic running pose dribbling across the pitch. The set also includes a large number 10, MESSI lettering, and a printed name plaque.
Lionel Messi Celebration Set
The Lionel Messi “Celebration” set is positioned as the collection’s showpiece. Aimed at builders aged 14+, it is a 1,427-element set that functions as 3D wall art. The display features Messi in his signature victory pose pointing toward the sky, highlights his iconic number 10 striped jersey, and is packed with Easter eggs that nod to his life and career.
