adidas has granted Neuer his own custom goalkeeper glove, distinct from anything previously seen. The design incorporates his personal style and serves as the inspiration for the new adidas Predator range, effectively merging club, national team and brand into one product. Until now, Neuer had been wearing gloves and boots from earlier collections, notably the Encryption Pack, without switching to the adidas Predator 20+ boots or the matching gloves. The arrival of a dedicated Predator Pro glove marks a shift to a collection that matches his standing.

Primeknit Construction and Demon Skin Technology

The new gloves are built with adidas’s Primeknit fabric — a single piece that provides a lightweight, compressive feel. According to adidas, the yarn used in these gloves is specifically designed, manufactured and moulded for goalkeeper use, making them softer and more comfortable than the previous generation. Around the shell, the distinctive Demon Skin material features rubber studs that encircle the glove. On the equivalent Predator football boots, 406 rubber studs cover the key contact areas.

Palm and Grip: URG 2.0 and Nova Zone Tech

The glove keeps a minimalist design with a negative cut. The latex palm uses Nova Zone Technology and finishes with URG 2.0 in the areas where the hands most often contact the pitch. This combination delivers high grip along with shock absorption. URG 2.0 also adds abrasion resistance, making the glove versatile across surfaces, though the palm performs best on natural grass. adidas also offers a URG 1.0 palm intended for professional goalkeepers; it provides even more grip but less durability.
