Adidas has finally released a signature boot exclusively for Liverpool and Egypt forward Mohamed Salah. Dubbed the “Prepare for Battle” Speedflow MS1, the boot features gold and red detailing and will be worn by Salah as he captains Egypt at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Design and Colorway
The boot comes in a White/Gold Metallic/Scarlet color scheme. The upper carries a graphic print that echoes the 2014 World Cup “Battle Pack” design — but where that earlier pack used a black leopard-style print, the “Prepare for Battle” edition highlights the pattern in regal gold. A scarlet red accent runs around the collar and extends down through the lacing area.
Limited Release and Debut
Only 1,069 pairs have been produced worldwide. Salah is expected to debut the boots in Egypt’s opening AFCON match against Nigeria on Tuesday, 11 January. The release marks the first time the Egyptian King has received his own signature Adidas Speedflow boot, a recognition many fans consider overdue given his outstanding performances since joining Liverpool in 2017.
