The new Hi-Vis Merlin carries design cues from a classic predecessor and marks the first time the winter ball will feature a distinct look from the regular-season Merlin.
Design Inspiration and Heritage
The 2019-20 Hi-Vis Merlin draws its visual identity from the original Nike Total 90 Aerow Hi-Vis, which debuted in the Premier League during the 2004 season — 15 years ago. To honor that iconic ball, a “T90” logo appears on one of the panels of the new Merlin. This is the first instance in Premier League history that the high-visibility football has adopted a different design from the standard match ball used throughout the season.

- Panel Construction: The Hi-Vis Merlin incorporates a 26-panel hand-stitched build with a texture flash casing, offering a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern grip.
- Limited Edition Reissue: Alongside the new match ball, a limited number of Hi-Vis Total 90 replicas will be reissued. These faithfully reproduce the original ball’s detailing and specifications, packaged in a commemorative box. Only 600 numbered units will be produced.
Release Schedule
The Hi-Vis Merlin will make its on-pitch debut during Premier League fixtures on October 25. The limited-edition Total 90 reissue is scheduled for release on November 8.
