Nike’s TOMA world tour made its latest Los Angeles stop under the arches of the iconic 6th Street Bridge, where the Toma La Noche series delivered a high-energy celebration of street football, community, and self-expression. The event brought together top local youth players, families, and crews for a night of small-sided competition and cultural gathering.
Toma La Noche Returns to Los Angeles
The Toma La Noche series, part of Nike’s broader Toma el Juego movement, landed at The Bridge on Saturday night. The 6th Street Bridge was transformed into a floodlit arena designed for pure street football expression. Since its launch in Los Angeles in June 2025, the platform has expanded to South Korea, Mexico, Chile, and Peru, uniting thousands of young players and their local communities.
The event showcased football in its most stripped-down form, with flair, originality, and self-belief at the heart of every play. According to a Nike statement, the TOMA movement represents a version of the sport where “self-expression – not just performance – takes centre stage.”

The Bridge: A Night of Community and Competition
Saturday’s event drew dozens of Los Angeles’ top youth players, who competed under the bridge’s glow in front of families, local supporters, and football crews from across the city. The Bridge stop is the second of four Los Angeles qualifiers. The first stop, held in Compton, kicked off the 2026 cycle of neighborhood-based qualifiers.
Each Toma La Noche stop is hosted in partnership with an authentic community voice. For The Bridge, Nike teamed up with Paisa Boys, who helped lead the open call for standout young players aiming to earn a spot in the Toma La Noche LA Finals.

The goal of Toma La Noche extends beyond competition. For one night, the pitch becomes a community stage where athletes, families, artists, and crews gather to celebrate possibility and shared passion under the lights. The event’s format featured small-sided matches, rapid winner-stays challenges, and 1v1 showcases, rewarding quick feet, creativity, ego, and improvisation.

Road to the Toma Season 1 Finals
The Toma La Noche Los Angeles tour consists of four unique stops. Winners from each stop earn a place in the Toma La Noche LA Finals this summer. The LA champions will then advance to the Toma Season 1 Finals in summer 2026, bringing together elite emerging players from across the United States and Canada.

Expanding the Global Street Football Ecosystem
Nike’s broader aim with the Toma el Juego platform is to build a global, youth-driven street football ecosystem. The platform is now expanding to six continents and more than 20 cities, cementing its role as a worldwide celebration of small-sided creativity and cultural expression.

Next Stop to Be Announced
With The Bridge stop complete, Nike’s Toma La Noche has once again proven why it resonates in a football city like Los Angeles. The location of the third stop will be announced soon. Under the lights of the 6th Street Bridge, the event delivered competition, creativity, individuality, and a platform for young players to define the game in their own voice.
