Nike’s X2 collection brings together seven national federations, seven creative collaborators, and seven youth sport organisations to produce a series of unique World Cup–themed capsules. Each collection sits at the intersection of football, culture, and community, reimagining federation kits through the eyes of local designers and artists. Footwear draws from Nike’s archive, turning classic boots into everyday Cryoshot silhouettes with visible outsole studs.
The X2 Concept: Football, Community, and Culture
Every X2 collaboration starts with a federation kit and adds a collaborator’s perspective. Nike then partners with a local youth sport organisation, making a long-term investment in shaping the future of youth sport. The result is a range of apparel and footwear that expresses national pride while celebrating the communities that live and breathe the game.
United States x V.A.A.

V.A.A. draws on vintage Americana to reimagine the look of the 1994 World Cup for Team USA. Virgil Abloh’s visual legacy appears through bold graphics and a playful reinterpretation of nostalgic style. The footwear takes the classic Zoom M9 football boot and creates an everyday version honouring Mia Hamm’s World Cup performance. Clean synthetic leather, “AIR” labelling, and distinct branding carry Virgil’s signature design language.

South Korea x PEACEMINUSONE

PEACEMINUSONE creates a uniform inspired by generations of Korean gatherings. KFA-specific design meets details from modern Korean workwear, suitable for the field or cheering around the world. The collaborator fuses its iconic flower with KFA-inspired imagery. The boot reworks the CTR360 in distressed synthetic suede with embroidered and printed branding.

Nigeria x Slawn

Slawn brings raw artistic energy and a hand-drawn style to the Super Eagles. Bold, unfiltered wings celebrate Nigerian heritage. For footwear, Slawn takes the earliest Nike boot, recreates it in canvas, and covers it with his signature illustrations. Minimal overlays pair with an unmistakable artistic approach.

Netherlands x Patta

Patta’s collection celebrates the Netherlands with the States Lion and charms representing KNVB players’ heritages. City-specific symbols honour Dutch unity on and off the pitch. The boot is the R9, updated in Netherlands colours using the original synthetic leather design. An additional removable fold-over tongue adds vintage flair.

France x Jacquemus

Jacquemus fuses fashion and football with a focus on French identity and elegance. The tricolors of France appear through refined stripe patterns. The boot is the Tiempo R10, recreated in premium leather with flat leather lace heads and tasteful branding. Small hits of Sport Royal and University Red nod to the French flag.

England x Palace

Palace brings together football and streetwear for a collection honouring the English National Team. The design is inspired by St. George’s Cross, with a slim-fitting, sweat-wicking top and co-branding on the chest. The footwear takes the classic Air Speed M, made in smooth synthetic leather with sport-right colour pops and tasteful branding.

Canada x NOCTA

In partnership with the Men’s National Team and Canadian Women & Sport, NOCTA reimagines Canada’s merchandise using familiar silhouettes inspired by heritage, national symbols, and football culture. The Cryoshot Tiempo ’94 x Canada x NOCTA features a bold yellow base with heel branding doing the rest of the talking.
