Puma has unveiled a surprise limited edition football boot called the FUTURE “Inhale,” drawing inspiration from the brand’s iconic 2000 flagship running shoe of the same name. The release, kept under wraps until today, aims to evoke nostalgia for fans who remember the original classic from two decades ago.
Design and Construction
While carrying the FUTURE name, the “Inhale” colorway – High Risk Red, Black, Silver, and White – deviates sharply from previous FUTURE models. The upper features a mesh base with a TPU embossed skin coating that creates a wavelike appearance. Underfoot, the boot uses an integrated PUMA Future 5.1 soleplate as a tribute to the original running shoe’s style.
Notable Differences from the FUTURE Series
The boot abandons the signature FUTURE lacing system, instead featuring a completely closed-off tongue.
