Puma has unveiled the limited edition FUTURE NEXT 18.1, a boot that honors the journey of young footballers from local street pitches to professional stadiums. Finished in a White and Green Gecko colorway, the release is restricted to 350 pairs worldwide and aims to resonate with the next generation of talent.
Design and Inspiration
The upper features a graphic that represents the progression from neighborhood street football to elite-level grass arenas. By drawing on this narrative, Puma follows a successful marketing strategy seen in previous academy-focused packs, targeting younger players who aspire to mirror the rising stars of the game.
NetFit Lace System Performance
The FUTURE NEXT 18.1 is built on the same technical platform as the standard Future 18.1 NetFit series. Its defining feature is the NetFit lace system – a net that runs across the upper. The net is separated from the upper in specific zones, allowing players to thread laces through these openings. As the laces are tightened, the system creates a customized fit that can increase tension in targeted areas, offering a highly adaptable lockdown.
