The Puma Rise Pack

The Puma Rise Pack breaks the mould with bold, two-tone colourways across its flagship models. Designed for footballers who want to stand out on and off the pitch, this special edition combines light, colour, and a fearless attitude. Here’s a detailed look at the Puma Future 5.1 and Puma ONE 20.1 Rise Pack boots.

Puma Rise Pack – The Two-Tone Boots

Summer 2020 was set to be a football-packed season, with the European Championship on the horizon. Puma used this momentum to launch its Special Edition Rise Pack, featuring the star models Puma ONE and Future in eye-catching colours. Unlike single-colour schemes, each boot combines greenish-yellow with coral for a distinctive two-tone look.

A Nod to Past Inspirations

Puma has a history of bold colour stories. At the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the Puma Tricks collection used the colours of the Cattleya labiata orchid, a native Brazilian flower—an original tribute without resorting to green and yellow. For Euro 2016, the Tricks collection featured fluorescent fuchsia (right) and yellow (left), with black used on the heel to complement the brand logo.

The main inspiration for the Rise Pack dates back to 1998, when Cameroonian footballer Rigobert Song took to the pitch wearing Puma King boots with a different colour on each foot: yellow on the right and red on the left.

Puma Future 5.1 Rise Pack

As described in the Puma Future Flash 5.1 post, these boots were created to make a big impact in 2020—a statement of intent designed to challenge the competition. The Puma Future football boots live up to their name. The upper has undergone a dramatic change from the previous generation Future 4.1. There is less mesh in the NETFIT system, fewer lace holes, and laces are positioned only where necessary. The fully knitted upper provides a better fit and stability, while a GripControl Pro Layer is applied in grooves on the most frequently struck areas of the boot.

Lightness is a key feature of the Puma Future. It achieves this through a reactive Pebax midsole with RapidAgility technology, stabilising bars across the instep, and a combination of laminated and conical studs for traction in all conditions—supporting explosive, multi-directional movement.

Puma One 20.1 Rise Pack

The new generation of the classic boot, adapted to modern football, returns in a revamped form. While there isn’t a drastic change from its predecessor, Puma has rethought a key component—the shell.

As part of the Rise Pack, the Puma ONE football boot is now available to the general public. This unisex boot features an all-new upper balancing stability and touch, with K-leather at its core alongside an aggressive, asymmetrical design. The rest of the boot is made from synthetic microfibre and Puma’s ‘Evoknit’. Ultra-lightweight SPRINTWEB technology provides better lateral support and improved stabilisation for the foot and heel, without adding extra weight.
