Puma has officially unveiled the Puma ULTRA 1.1 “Chasing Adrenaline” speed boot in a striking shock orange colorway. Built for uncatchable speed, this latest release introduces exclusive MATRYXEVO® technology, a single-layer material that brings the boot closer to the foot while delivering exceptional support at an extraordinarily light weight. The boot is the first soccer model ever to feature this material.
MATRYXEVO Technology and Lightweight Construction
The Puma ULTRA 1.1 is engineered for optimal speed without compromising on control, traction, or comfort. According to Peter Stappen, Lead Product Line Manager at Puma, “Our goal was not to create the lightest boot possible, but to create a speed boot with optimal weight for speed to ensure features such as control, traction and comfort were not compromised. We were not about chasing grams, but about chasing adrenaline. When we put all the components together, the boot had all the essential properties we wanted; comfort, stability and durability but maintained an exceptionally light weight.”
The MATRYXEVO upper uses a single layer of material that reduces weight while providing outstanding support. This construction is a first for soccer footwear and underscores Puma’s focus on speed-oriented design.
GripControl Pro and SpeedUnit Outsole
Key areas of the upper feature a GripControl Pro skin, applied to deliver complete and decisive ball control when moving at high speeds. Bonded to the upper is a lightweight PEBA SpeedUnit outsole with a split sole design inspired by Puma running spike DNA. The soleplate combines subtle forefoot “spikes” with V-shaped blades for enhanced aerodynamics and explosive acceleration.
Player Adoption
Antoine Griezmann and Sergio Agüero are set to be among the first players to wear the Puma ULTRA 1.1 on the pitch, showcasing the boot’s elite-level speed credentials in top-flight matches.
