Sporting Club Portugal has released its third kit for the new season. The design features gold sleeves paired with a dark green body, marking the 20th anniversary of the opening of the new Estádio José Alvalade and the debut year of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Third Kit Design and Inspiration
The kit includes an exclusive Nike “CR7” logo on the front, paying homage to the club’s former star. Cristiano Ronaldo began his professional career at Sporting CP before becoming a global football icon.
Tribute to a Legendary Match
In the kit’s presentation, the club stated: “Now we invite you to return to the future, 20 years later and five Ballon d’Ors later.” The statement honors the memorable friendly match against Manchester United that inaugurated the Estádio José Alvalade. Sporting CP won 3–1, and the 18-year-old Ronaldo impressed enough to earn a move to Old Trafford.
